Google Voice's "Activate Google voicemail for this phone" isn't new

This is a little lame. I got very excited when I saw the 'new' setting in my Google Voice account to "Activate Google voicemail for this phone". I would love an integrated way to have Google Voice catch calls made to my mobile, but I wanted to know how they did it first. But Google didn't explain the process; they made it seem like this amazing new feature when its actually the same call forwarding function you already had but with one addition... it stops the Google Voice Loop. Motorola Developes a Droid Phone - and I actually want it

Its been a while since there was a Motorola phone that I wanted to buy but this new Droid phone is very impressive. Google's Android mobile phone OS is exciting to watch but the reviews of previous phones running it were lack luster. Most did not have the processing power to run Android effectively or lacked creative design.

That seems to have changed with the Motorola Droid. The early reviews sound great and some of the features that Motorola has come up with have really improved on Google's OS. The asking price is only $199 on Verison. Read more

Google Voice

I have had a Grand Central number for about 2 years but I will confess that I never did much with it. I was always too afraid that the service might fail and I would loose my number. Well, with Google taking over I figured that it was now safe. I will continue to test and mark any tips or issues that I face with the service. Read more

  • Love the added memory and faster processor

I See Double People - Google Contact Sync Has Issues

Nothing short of seeing Dead People brings chills like an address book full of duplicate entries. It was so exciting to see that Google had added address boook / contact list sync to their existing mobile calendar sync tool for the Blackberry. But as this title suggests, I have had some issues.

Apple iPhone - Blackberry, Cingular and all my other toys?

Okay I bought my first iPod spring '07, so I am not a huge adopter of Apple's toys (6 months later the 8gb video iPod came out!!!). But I am really loving some of the features of Apple's new iPhone. The email looks great with inline images viewable, the browser is Safari and auto sync to your desktop browser sounds great! Read more

Time Management, GTD and Life Hacking

As a society we spend so much time and energy getting information into and from emails, notes, websites, lectures, chats, blogs and news feeds. But what is all of that worth if we forget what to do next (task management) or we can't find something we had previously found?

Content Management, Knowledge Management and Information Management are all becoming huge 'industry' buzz words but that means nothing if we fail to teach and provide solutions for the 'individual' user/employee. I went to school and received a B.S. in Management in Information Systems, but not one class discussed a micro-system for the user/student. Do any highschools, colleges or corporations seriously teach this critical problem solving issue? Read more
