Google Blogs uses a static URL to tell us that Dynamic URLs are best

Sure we have heard Google say in the past that it can handle and index dynamic URLs but now I read on the Google Blog that they prefer sites to use dynamic rather then clean static URLs.

  • Clean/Static URL - example.com/archive/january.htm
  • Dynamic URL - example.com/detail?id=31

Google serves different SERP to different computers

I have been trying to increase the rating of my new site The World's Greatest Guy on Google's SERP. I had been #1 on Google for the first 9 months of the sites's life and then it just went away. Digg your way to better SERP

About 1 year ago I bought the domain name theworldsgreatestguy.com as kind of an in-side SEO joke around our office at the start-up PrivaSign. I was trying to SEO our company site and once over beers joked that it would be funny to say to someone in a bar that according to Google I was the "world's greatest guy". Google's new Government Search Tool versus the FirstGov site

Google just released a Goverment specific search portal.

This is basically a competitor to the government's own site FirstGov, which is powered by MSN but looks an awful lot like Google.
