Blackberry RIM's App World Having Bandwidth Issues or Just Blocked by Corp Filters?

I downloaded and installed the new Blackberry App World software to my Blackberry 9000 Bold late last night but it will not connect to the Blackberry servers. The message I receive is:

"BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again."

 

I can access the internet, all of my other apps still work, in fact everything on my Blackberry is fully functional. The only thing not working is the Blackberry App World software. Last night I couldn't find any reports of this issue but now it is starting to appear in various forums and threads.

The thought right now is that the Blackberry App World servers are overloaded with requests. I have successfully install App World to my BB desktop emulator, so I am beginning to think this is an issue with corp filters/firewalls or perhaps IT Policy.
