Engadget just posted an article (Jan '07) on RCA's new Small Wonder EZ201 and the EZ205 . It looks great with mpeg-4 encoding , 1.5-inch, 180 degree swivel LCD display, runs on 2 AA batteries and an SD card slot for memory storage. Oh yeah its only about $129. That's a bar tab for a camcorder. So wow I want more info! Google... Nope... Nada.

Google for "RCA EZ201" and you get 5 results. Try "RCA EZ105". Neither of which includes the RCA website or Press releases. How do you release a new product and not have ANY SEO??? How? Not even a Press Release for your new toys - RCA EZ105 or RCA EZ201?

My blog on RCA's bad SEO is ranking higher than some of the actual sales sites (as of Jan '07)!

So here I went to RCA's website and sure there are like three pages on the RCA's new Small Wonder EZ201 or EZ205, but why not put some feelers out there? Maybe actually get some sites some free samples for a back link or something? (Update => RCA Small Wonder Site )

RCA is not a huge player in this market but you would think that they would have some experience in the SEO, PR or Marketing arena?

Oct '07 Updates

I have included a few bits of information above regarding updates the Small Wonder from RCA. The new website MySmallWonder.com is up and running. The domain was purchased on March 17th 2006. So they bought the name long before the product came out, which is smart. But saved the marketing and SEO until much much later. It would seem that they would want My Small Wonder to make a Big Splash. According to the traffic details from Alexis , My Small Wonder is down 12% in the past 3 months for daily avg visitors.
