Okay so I installed Internet Explorer 7 today. Why? Tabs. I cannot stand having 20 browsers open okay? Now first let me explain a few of my positions on the IE and firefox debate. Plenty of people like it one way or the other. NO sweat, I totally understand. I have MS Windows on all of my computers and only a couple of Linux versions available. I am a big fan of MS Office. I believe in using the best tool for the job. That said I abhore having to use Internet Explorer. I won't rant about all of my frustrations but secutity and features are the two biggies. I really love Firefox. I love having so many extentions installed that I forget about half of them; they are there and that's what matters. So anyway I go to upgrade to IE7. And here's the point, its the way MicroSoft presents their new IE7. I know Internet Explorer has been available for years.

So did a recent focus group, or some letter from a mom in Nevada, say "you know I really wish this software that I use everyday was a little easier and safer." I mean come on guys, does that really sound like a good marketing spin? Doesn't it just sort of come out as if MS marketing is just saying, "well safety and ease of use was sort of an after thought, we really didn't think anyone would want easy and secure." Now perhaps I am just a little too detailed, but this is what my brain saw when I read the IE pitch.

Okay so I had to show off my over loaded and bloated Firefox. Its the Ford Excursion of my IT world. Well, I am now the proud owner of a new safe and secure IE7 beta. First thing I did was type the URL of my website into IE and bam! IE 7 has gone and total mucked up the code again. And I thought standards where standards. Well not even MicroSoft thinks that, just google for "stupidiemarginhack". It appears that MS developers have the same headaches that we do.
