Google Notebook and why can't I do EVERYTHING in one place?

Google does have a great little notebook and it wants to share it with everyone.... along with its gmail, spreadsheets, maps, calendars and everything else. The problem, and personally its a huge problem is that while 'everyone' and do everything on Google no one person can do everything in one place. What is the benefit of using Google if all of their services are strung around like someone just spilled the jar of Google? I need a search engine/web portal just to organize all of my Google services. At least Microsoft 'integrates' MS Word with Outlook. Google does nothing of the kind. It claims to add dates to its calendar from your contact list but I only see it happening about 25% of the time. I love many of the Google features/services but does it take a brain surgeon to realize that people would like all of these features together? Take Google's Notebook for example. I love being able to put notes down on all of my topics; recipes, to do lists, GTD, shopping, career searches, company research and more. But I REALLY want to be able to add notes to my CL2/Google Calendar and to gMail messages. I want to generate a map of all my information in ONE PLACE and visualize the relationships. Google has such great search features, but I don't want to have to remember where I typed the information into Google just so I know where to search for it. I can't search for notes in gmail!

Google Notebook

There just needs to be a simple 'ribbon' of sort. You know, some sort of toolbar that offers users access to all of the services...

microsoft office

Yeah something like that.
